Lightweight Caravans that would be great for a couple – Australia 2025

Caravan crashes are on the rise in Australia, and many of them come down to one major issue—overweight caravans and tow vehicles that just aren’t up to the job.

So there’s many people (like Ben and I) who would rather look for a lighter weight caravan that’s suitable for our vehicle, than have to upgrade our tow vehicle to tow something heavier.

The good news is, there are a lot of options!

In this article we’re just looking at 6 options that we have found. The criteria for this particular search is that we want something that has a bathroom where the toilet and shower are separate (i.e. not a wet bath), has an island queen bed and is full height.

We use the Australian RV Directory to find all the caravans that fit our criteria and came up with a list of over 400.

We decided to have a closer look at just 6 of them.
